Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Virtual Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide educational support and guidance to an autistic individual in a virtual environment.

Other Responsibilities:

• Establish a positive and trusting relationship with the autistic individual.
• Implement pre-developed support plans tailored to the individual’s unique needs and goals.
• Provide emotional support and actively listen to the individual’s concerns and challenges.
• Encourage and facilitate engagement in social activities and hobbies.
• Collaborate with the individual’s family and other support team members to ensure a holistic approach to support.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of progress and activities.
• Adapt to the individual’s changing needs and preferences.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (relevant educational background preferred).
• Experience with teaching individuals on the autism spectrum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual support team.
• Access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet, private workspace.

Location: Remote

Job Type: Part-Time (9 hours per week)

Shift: 8:00am – 11.00am (Three days a week – Mon, Wed & Fri)
