Job Description:
CFIS is looking for an Information Technology (IT) On-call Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be an energetic and innovative individual who will assist CFIS’ Associate Director, Information Technology to diagnose and solve diverse problems, maintain a fleet of school devices, and support ongoing IT tickets. This position offers a minimum of 16 hours per week with the opportunity to do additional on-call work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade and repair computers and related equipment;

Oversee the helpdesk function, lend support and ensure accurate and timely resolution of tickets;

Educate and support students and employees in the use of the school’s information technology; encourage and facilitate positive end-user behaviour; including some interfacing with students in higher grade levels;

Ensure timely and accurate inventory records for all technology equipment and software;

Database/Information System Management;

Maintain Mobile Device Management software JAMF;

Maintain database of available iOS Applications;

Maintain database of CFIS-owned Hardware;

Providing A/V support to school;

Supporting after-school activities such as parent information nights, concerts, and other special events requiring the use of CFIS technologies;

Maintenance of CFIS printer and projector suite;

Creating service calls for CFIS printers;

Ordering toner and supplies;

Replacing toner and serviceable components.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; or Diploma in Information Technology

Apple product troubleshooting experience;

Google product troubleshooting experience;

Fluent English is essential, French is an asset.

Prior experience with IT support is preferred. The successful applicant will need to provide an updated Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (two shots approved by Health Canada) prior to commencing work.

Salary:
