CAD Technician Full Time

CAD Technician (Telecommunications Design) – Remote

FHA Solutions Inc. is a growing telecommunications and hydro design company seeking a highly motivated CAD Technician to join our team. This is a fully remote position with a new and expanding company that is building its reputation through quality work and strong project execution.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, communicate clearly, and maintain a high attention to detail. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining professional communication with the team.

Previous telecommunications experience is an asset; however, candidates with a strong AutoCAD foundation and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise AutoCAD drawings related to telecommunications infrastructure.
• Develop base maps using available municipal data sources, utility records, GIS datasets, and field survey information.
• Prepare plan and profile drawings in CAD including duct design, occupancy, route alignment, manhole, and structure details.
• Create buried and aerial utility plant drawings in accordance with CSA and customer standards.
• Prepare permit applications in strict conformance with municipal permit requirements and City drawing standards.
• Perform QA/QC on own work to ensure drawings are checked, approved, and filed according to company quality procedures.
• Coordinate with internal team members to incorporate design updates and revisions.

Requirements:

• Strong AutoCAD proficiency is required.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• High attention to detail and ability to produce clean, accurate drawings.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset.
• Telecommunications drafting experience is considered an asset.
• SpatialNET experience would be considered a strong asset.

Hiring Process:

• 45-minute AutoCAD skills test

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months, subject to renewal based on performance
