Things you should know:
The role will be working in partnership with the management team of the business unit to support
the achievement of business objectives through the delivery of a proactive operational HR and
Employee Relations service. This role involves some travel between sites as appropriate and works
closely with the wider HR team and Centres of Excellence.
As part of the HR team, you will contribute to the implementation of the Cabot Europe group
strategy. You will be working with the management team to deliver the HR business strategy that
underpins each of the business unit strategies, whilst ensuring that the wider HR Advisor population
are involved in relevant business projects. Some of the key responsibilities include:
To be the main point of contact for operational HR matters for managers and senior
managers across the site establishing an effective communication network.
Provide expert operational advice and support to the business on HR and Employee
Relations matters including but not limited to;
o Absence management
o Conduct
o Performance management
o Grievances
o Probation reviews
o Flexible working requests
o Maternity, adoption, paternity and shared parental leave
o Change management – restructuring / redundancy / TUPE
Through developing commercial knowledge of individual business areas and their
challenges, work with the management team and Centres of Excellence to shape HR actions
to positively impact on operational performance and colleague engagement.
Interrogate and analyse People Data to formulate and deliver appropriate local action plans
for improvement and support better decision through use of data.
Talent Management actions – performance plans.
Deputise for the HR Business Partner in their absence.

Things we need from you:
CIPD qualified
Proven track record of delivering results within a generalist HR Advisor, Senior Advisor or
Manager role.
Significant experience of dealing with complex employee relations issues.
Trusted advisor– can offer a view and is respected and proactive.
Curious thinker who seeks out the cause and effect with processes, action and employee
relations.
Delivers HR with attitude, passion and integrity.
