C. DeWitt Foard & Company is a local CPA firm offering tax and audit services to Charlotte and the surrounding communities for over 50 years. We specialize in assurance services for area not-for-profit organizations and churches.

We are looking to expand and hire an Audit Associate. This position also allows for the opportunity to do tax returns if desired. Any experience is a plus; however, a recent graduate is expected. This position will report directly to the audit managers and firm partners.

Examples of responsibilities include: preparing checklist and engagement letters for audit clients, testing different sections of an audit such as cash disbursements, revenue testing, cash balances, fixed assets, payroll, and accounts payable. Being in a professional atmosphere while working directly with the client. Perform ad-hoc duties for the audit manager or partner.

Competitive salary and benefits package (health insurance fully covered, employer contributions to an HSA, retirement match 5% after 1 year of service, 4 weeks of PTO, etc.). Overnight travel as little as two weeks during the year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Masters a plus).
• Actively pursuing the CPA license (passed sections of the exam a plus).
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Self-starter.
