Byron Bay Bluesfest Hiring for Marketing Coordinator at Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

Bluesfest Byron Bay is Australia’s most highly awarded festival, held annually for five days over the Easter Long Weekend in the Byron Bay region. 

Bluesfest represents a dynamic group of companies; Bluesfest Byron Bay (5-day festival), Bluesfest Touring and Bluesfest Presents. Our mission involves curating an extraordinary experience for music enthusiasts where we bring together an impressive roster of international and national artists. We extend our reach beyond the festival grounds by organising tours for the same international artists at partner venues across Australia and New Zealand. We also have The Green Room, our permanent venue on-site, as well as reintroducing Boomerang Festival.

Who are we looking for?  

The Bluesfest team cultivates a passionate and energetic working environment in the music industry, and we’re looking to expand our team with like-minded people. 

We’re on the lookout for a Marketing Coordinator to jump on board our Marketing team. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Writing specialist; copywriting and content development for internal and external channels including newsletters, press releases, digital content, musician profiles. 
• Execute integrated marketing plans, including strategy, campaign objectives and validation, supporting the Bluesfest business strategy. 
• Coordination of the production of all marketing assets for a range of different publications and platforms, including mainstream media content, digital content and social media. 
• Working with our in-house graphic designer to create regular EDM campaigns, and asset creation for all digital media/social media channels. 
• Coordinate internal and external communication channels: website, EDM, paid digital and social media channels. 
• Brand management, ensuring all external partnership communications and marketing materials align with the Bluesfest brand. 
• Preparation and tracking of marketing budgets. 

We are looking for someone who has: 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing, communications and/or PR. 
• Strong and proven understanding of marketing, communications, PR, media, and creative management. 
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Proven ability to implement marketing communications and brand growth strategies. 
• Teamwork oriented. 
• Creative approach to problem solving and ability to innovate and continually improve marketing effectiveness. 
• Passionate, energetic, dynamic, enthusiastic. 
• Understanding of Microsoft, WordPress, EDM CMS programs and Social Media Advertising CMS programs.  
• Keeps abreast of marketing trends and news and knows how to leverage marketing automation and self-service tools. 
• A love of working in the live music and entertainment industry!
