Opportunity for HR Manager to build the BYJU’S UK Team

BYJU’S UK is a recently established subsidiary of BYJU’S (Think & Learn Pvt Ltd), world’s largest Ed-Tech company with its headquarters in India and products and offices across Asia, North and South America. BYJU’S UK primarily aims at developing cutting edge digital technologies and products that support BYJU’S offerings across the world. The stakeholders include highly qualified personnel in the domain of science, technology, innovation and management.
As an HR manager, you would be expected to work closely with the business experts, owning the recruitment process completely, and ensuring a seamless experience for candidates as well as stakeholders so that they succeed at their work. Broadly, you will be tasked with identifying and tackling complex problems surrounding people management that ultimately impact and advance BYJU’S UK priorities, with Talent Acquisition as a specific focus area.
To be effective in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of HR interventions related to recruitment and employee life cycle management, strong problem solving skills, and ability to work effectively with engineers, project managers, and researchers to solve their people management concerns.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare recruitment plans and conduct talent search through multiple sourcing channels
Carry out screening of sourced candidates and work closely with the business stakeholders for shortlisting, interviews and offers finalisation.
Liaise with the new hires to keep them engaged and ensure that they join
Conduct on-boarding process of new hires
Seek new sourcing options and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the stakeholders
Partner with employees and act as a first point of contact for HR related concerns
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives which are aligned with the overall business strategy
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR systems, tactics and procedures
Build foundational capabilities in the domains of Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, Change Management and Employer Branding
Manage cultural change projects, site changes, and workforce restructuring to support the business strategy
Guiding the operations in all aspects of HR, including absence management, employee relation matters, recruitment, performance management, HR policies and communication, engagement action plan, coaching and development of line managers around HR policies, processes and ways of working
Identify and mitigate potential HR risks and empower managers to create a positive employee environment
Coordinate with payroll, health insurance, pension and other vendors for statutory compliance
Manage visa sponsorship license and visa processing for incoming employees
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Requirement & Skills
Prepare recruitment plans and conduct talent search through multiple sourcing channels
Proven experience in the HR domain with Talent Acquisition being the focus area
Technical recruiting experience in major tech markets is a plus
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A self-starter who plans and executes initiatives and brings them to a closure independently
Innovative, extremely creative and constantly looking for ways to improve upon things
Data driven individual with an analytical mind set
In-depth knowledge of UK labour laws and HR best practices
Degree in Human Resources or related field
CIPD Qualified (desirable)
