Buzzacott Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at London, England Full Time

The Finance team has approximately 8 people and looks after the firm’s financial matters. It plays a huge role in supporting the business on a day-to-day basis. The team is relied upon to provide timely and accurate financial statistics, reports and accounts.

The main objectives of the role are to provide daily, flexible, proactive support to the Finance Team, contributing to the efficiency of the team and services provided to the firm.

This is an exciting role that offers variety as well as professional development within a supportive team.

Key aspects of the role include:

• To set-up bank payments/intercompany transfers & refunds, raising cheques, raising internal invoices when required
• To reconcile all bank accounts on the accounting systems to the bank statements
• To assist the Management Accountant with preparing monthly management accounts as well as the analysis to support the management accounts
• To update the Partner’s drawings as well as prepare quarterly summaries of partner capital, loan and current accounts
• Update the NAV accounting system for any required changes following final changes/audit recommendations/profit
• Become one of the main point of contacts for internal queries regarding the PE system
• Assist the Payments and Purchase Ledger Supervisor in posting disbursements to client codes on PE
• Provide general assistance and support to the wider Finance Team, and take responsibility for maintaining the Finance Hub

You’re the right person for the role if you have:

• Degree, or equivalent
• Experience of working as an Accounts/ Finance Assistant
• The ability to develop professional relationships across various levels
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
• Excellent attention to detail
• Highly organised and reliable
• Excel, Intermediate Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills
• Recognised accounts packages experience
• Proactive with the ability to work on own initiative, but also as part of team
