Head of Talent Development will drive the talent agenda for the Busy Bees UK business, enabling our development and delivery of a world class talent development programme – identifying and developing our talent from apprenticeship level to the executive team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide energetic and forward thinking leadership to the operations team, developing their awareness and understanding of the importance of talent development
• Own the talent agenda for the business, creating sustainable and repeatable talent programmes that can be expanded outside of the UK
• Be an active member of the HR leadership team, responsible for delivery of the Busy Bees three-year strategy ‘People Plan’
• Own the performance review cycle, ensuring a coordinated approach to performance reviews, including bell curve analysis and reporting, and guiding managers to deal with under-performance
• Develop the talent development programmes to sit alongside the apprenticeship qualification pathway, to open career pathways from apprentice to Director level
• Work with Area Directors to identify talent and develop succession plans for Centre Director, Area Directors with step- up programmes in place
• Provide support and guidance to the leadership team in talent review, succession planning and organisational design
• Work with the operations team to develop a talent pool of high-performers, ready for their next opportunity
• Provide support for recruitment of key hires through assessment
• Work alongside our technology team to ensure our systems are fit for purpose and enhances the talent programme

Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role, leading the talent agenda in a similar sized, multi site business
• Degree educated with relevant post graduate qualifications
