Job Summary
The Municipal Licensing and Standards (MLS) Division supports the City of Toronto by providing bylaw administration and enforcement services, including targeted strategies to address graffiti, noise, business inspections, parks regulations and animal services issues, as well as business licensing and permitting, property standards, and animal care, including control, shelter and adoption services. In recent years, MLS has led exciting regulatory work in areas such as: Private Transportation Companies (Uber/Lyft), Short Term Rentals and RentSafeTO apartment building standards. In the role of Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant, you will play a critical role within the Division by supporting these initiatives with accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
Reporting to the Manager of Business Planning Performance and Intelligence, you will help develop and maintain MLS’s business intelligence environment. You will consolidate data from a number of internal and external sources, prepare it for analysis, run queries against the data and create data visualizations, BI dashboards and reports to make the analytics results available to business users for operational decision-making and strategic planning.
