Reports to: Finance Manager

Salary: £34,000 per annum

Location: Home-based with occasional office working

Hours: 37.5 per week

Job Summary:

The management accountant will be required deliver monthly management accounts and a range of budget support. This is a new post to work alongside the Finance Manager in providing appropriate, timely and accurate financial management information to assist in the running of the business.

It is likely that the role will grow and adapt with the individual appointed. This role will suit either an experienced accountant or a part qualified accountant with a few years of experience working in a Finance Team.

The successful candidate will have:

• Relevant UK professional accounting qualification, qualified through extensive experience or part qualified and up-to-date continuous professional development – (essential)
• Experience of preparing management accounts, and of improving and developing financial information systems, controls and procedures (essential)
• Experienced in computerised accounts package – SAGE 50 is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of a Finance team’s responsibilities and its key controls.
• Experience of managing accounts involving EU funds.
