Burnaby and Region Allotment Gardens Association is Looking for Groundskeeper Full Time

We are a community garden association with 14+ acres of gardens with substantial common property. We are looking for a person to assist in maintaining the property throughout the summer. The job consist of among other things, mowing lawns, trimming pathways, managing compost and generally assisting with maintenance of the grounds and buildings.

No prior training is required as the successful applicant will receive full training on the use of all equipment. You must reside in Burnaby to be considered for this job.

We are located in South Burnaby and transit is nearby but somewhat inconvenient. If you do not have a car, check with transit to see if this location suits you.

The job requires a physically fit individual who lives in Burnaby and enjoys working in an outdoor environment.

This is a summer job and employment will be from date of hire until August 31, 2023. You must provide a Burnaby address to be considered for this position

The job is most suited to a person who is pursuing a post secondary education

Applicant must have a drivers license

This position is partially funded by a Canada Summer Jobs grant which requires the applicant to be Under the age of 31 and to reside in Burnaby. Your application MUST include your Burnaby address. Only applications including a Burnaby address and age will be considered.

Salary: $19.00 per hour
