Reporting to the FP&A Sr. Manager – Corporate, this role is for 5 days a week, 9am – 6pm, or the equivalent hours per week as agreed.
The role will be responsible for supporting Finance/FP&A and collaborate with, but not limited to, Retail Ops, HR/R&R/Payroll and Burberry Business Services to maximize transparency of information between the functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Retail Store Commission Calculation:
– Drive and maintain the accuracy of commission calculation for store employees within United States and Canada, including concessions.
– Collaborate with Human Resources, Payroll, Reward & Recognition and Retail Operation team to ensure commission plan, incentive or schemes are properly captured in the analysis and calculation.
– Monitor and timely address all commission inquiries from store associates and any other functions.
– Timely provide the calculated commission pay-out files to the payroll for processing on a bi-weekly basis.
– Enhance the commission model based on the evolution or changes to the commission plans and incentive programs.
2. Support on Landlord Sales/Advertising Audits:
– Being the main point of contact in relation to landlord sales audit. Coordinate and timely collate all supporting information/document from different functions and provide such information to the Sales Audit Examiner.
– Assist on reviewing annual landlord sales letters prepare by Burberry Business Services to ensure accuracy and formulation of data prior to providing to CFO for sign off. Collaborate with the Real Estate Coordinate/Legal to ensure the letter is prepared in accordance with the lease agreement.
3. Financial Statements and Reporting:
– Support Finance Director with coordination with Burberry Business Services and Reward & Recognition teams to ensure progress and review of annual 401k Financial Statements as well as the relating schedules/filing (i.e. 5500).
– Support Finance Director in timely obtaining and reviewing the monthly (and semi-annual) financial reporting packs (BPC) prepared by Burberry Business Services.
– Partner with Burberry Business Services to provide any requests, to external auditors, associated with the annual integrated audit.
4. General Finance Related Tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
– Partner with the Accounts Payable Team in BBS on weekly check printing and mailing.
– Monitor and timely deposit of incoming checks to the bank and provide the listing of deposits to the Cash Office Team in BBS.
– Support the retail stores to ensure timely receipt of bank deposit supplies (i.e. slips, deposit bags, etc.).
– Liaise with Cash Office and Accounts Payable Team in BBS (as well as Payroll Team) to ensure timely void of returned vendor or payroll checks (i.e. bank portal).
– Arrange check deposits relating to the Canada stores.
– Coordinate and forward all vendor/landlord invoices or statements to BBS and relevant business partners.
– Coordinate with Legal, Group Treasury and BBS on updating of bank mandates and board resolutions.
– Support on finance ad hoc projects.
5. Support in FP&A Related Tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
– Prepare month end analysis and journal entries for Opex and Capital & partner with accounting for finalization.
– Enter and validate data into BPC Financial system for month end actual, forecast and budget submissions.
– Request internal order creation for Capex tracking purposes.
PERSONAL PROFILE
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
– Must be detail oriented analytical, have the ability to multi-task and function effectively in a fast-paced environment Organized, detail oriented, motivated and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to work independently or as a team player.
– Strong PC skills required primarily in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
– Experience with SAP desired
EXPERIENCE
– At least three years of experience in retail real or related experience in private industry
