Burberry Hiring for Design Manager, Architecture at London, Full Time

JOB PURPOSE

Manage the design delivery of corporate architecture projects.  Work closely with external consultants and internal construction teams to ensure the corporate design concepts are delivered in line with the brief and brand aesthetic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working closely with the Design Director, manage the design of corporate projects including offices and/ or supply chain, from research and development of ideas through to technical packs and implementation
• Communicate design ideas through research, references, and appropriate outputs ie. sketches / hand-drawings, renders or scale drawings
• Develop designs independently and share for feedback in an open forum. Using this feedback to refine and develop ideas and solutions
• Create design presentation packs and deliver these to internal and external audiences at varying levels of seniority
• Critically evaluate and provide feedback on designs presented by external stakeholders to ensure the Burberry aesthetic is protects and guidelines are followed
• Detail designs in the best tools to assist  partners, external contractors or specialists
• Able to source new and dynamic materials and techniques to build
• Research and be aware of trends – across luxury fashion corporate offices.

PERSONAL PROFILE

• Degree level in Architecture or Interior Design
• Relevant experience of architecture design in luxury retail and/ or corporate offices
• Ability to manage consultants, 3rd party providers and local teams to ensure timely completion and maintenance of global standard for all projects
• Creative design sensibility
• Confident creative point of view
• Technical capability and ability to influence and negotiate confidently with cross-functional partners
• Knowledge of current market trends and competitor approaches
• Well organised, flexible and adaptable
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and share information effectively
• Collaborative team player with strong initiative.
