Buntain Insurance Group of Companies Hiring for Personal Lines Portfolio Manager Full Time

Portfolio Managers are responsible for an assigned book of business and are expected to service, retain and grow the assigned book of business. Growth is to be attained by rounding out of accounts and developing new business as outlined in the sales goals and in conjunction with the company policies and procedures.

Management of assigned portfolio including:
 Renewals (min of 21 days before expiry)
 Book size approximately $1,000,000 in premiums
 Cover letters, quotations and evaluations as required
 Maintenance of expiry list
 Endorsements
 Pending Memos/Abeyances (max 2 pages)
 Updating notes on client files
 Past Due Notices
 Cancellation Notices
 Claims Notices
 Insurance Company memos
 Issuance of Binders and Certificates
 Meeting of sales goals
 Completion of applications and questionnaires
 ICBC Transactions (considered an asset)

Notes:
 Assistance for some processing and re-marketing of files provided from the administrative team (PIT)

Skills Required:
 Level 2 License
 2 years prior experience in Personal Lines
 Able to handle basic insurance cases and quotes
 Familiar with Power Broker (considered an asset)
 Familiar with Insurance Company Portals
 Familiar with underwriting guidelines for the following companies:
o Intact
o CNS
o Wawanessa
o Aviva
o Gore Mutual
o Optimum West
o Non-standard markets (Premier and Can-Sure)
 Able to efficiently use PowerQuote/Evaluations
 Remarketing of business as required
 Basic Word and Excel
 Outlook
 Basic ICBC knowledge is considered and asset
