BumbleBeesRus is an early childhood education program in Brooklyn and Staten Island dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. All childcare centers are licensed through the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene-Bureau of Childcare.

Our primary objective is to provide a welcoming, safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment that develops and fosters individual creativity, active exploration and learning through child-centered activities and explorations that support the development of the “whole child”. At BumbleBeesRus, we continually strive to create a stimulating environment, where every child is encouraged to reach his/her own potential. We understand and respect that every child is unique, and they have their own individual strengths and interests. Our educational philosophy is to teach using a multi-sensory approach; we learn through play, and we play as we learn.

We are currently seeking a Certified Lead Preschool Teacher with NYS Early Childhood Education (Birth – Grade 2) Certification. We have 12-month programs with positions that comes with a very competitive salary and benefit package.

Qualifications:

Certification:

• New York State Early Childhood Education (Birth – Grade 2) Certification, required

Education:

• Master’s in early childhood education
• OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education
• OR
• Associate’s in Early Childhood Education
• AND
• Currently enrolled in college with a Department of Health approved Study Plan and a minimum of 9 credits
• OR
• 90 or more undergraduate college credits in Early Childhood Education
• AND
• 1 year of classroom experience teaching pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, or grades 1 – 2

Experience:

• 2 years of classroom experience
• At least 21 years of age

Responsibilities:

· Creates and employs curricula that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children from diverse backgrounds.

• Responsible to engineer the classroom; designs it, lays it out, and manages the space in such a way as to make learning possible.
• Responsible for participating with a team (i.e., teacher assistant and family worker) on a daily basis in planning curricula and adding the necessary parental contribution.
• Evaluates the progress on an ongoing basis and implements the necessary modifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,070.00 – $73,652.00 per year
