Position Summary : The Logistics Manager adds value to BAPI by overseeing and optimizing the company’s supply chain and logistics operations.

This position involves managing all aspects of the logistics process, including supply chain strategy, inventory management, procurement, shipping, receiving, transportation coordination, and team leadership.

The Logistics Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods / services to customers, optimizing inventory levels, while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

This position requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals.

The Logistics Manager collaborates closely with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and other partners to enhance operational efficiency.

Logistics Manager Principle Responsibilities :

Supply Chain Management :

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs
• Monitor and improve supply chain processes to enhance overall productivity
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to ensure a seamless supply chain flow
• Provide day-to-day direction of business units

Procurement, Inventory Management, Receiving, Transportation and Distribution :

• Oversee inventory levels and monitor stock movements to prevent overstocking or stockouts
• Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and maximize inventory turnover
• Monitor the performance of transportation providers and address issues promptly
• Oversee purchasing, receiving, picking / shipping customer orders and assure all areas are timely and efficient in their process
• Supervise proper receipt, handling, storage, identification and distribution and all new raw materials, and components, and finished goods
• Optimize international freight routes to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Negotiate and mange contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners

Oversee the development and implementation of proper supply chain budget and cost efficiency :

• Sets and achieves logistics goals and metrics – track improvement over time
• Establish and maintain budget(s). Analyze financial data and generate s to track expenses and budgets
• Allocate resources including manpower, materials, and equipment to achieve production goals
• Develop and manage budgets to ensure cost effective operations
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses
• Develops, monitors, and implements production forecasts

Team Management :

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a teams of logistics professionals
• Assign tasks and set clear performance goals for team members
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback

Partner with Senior Leadership Team

• Collaborate in developing Company Goals and Culture; align with Company Mission, Vision, and Values
• Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements
• Assures consistent application of policies, rules, and guidelines
• Succession Planning
• Works with diverse stakeholders and builds strong, collaborative relationships. Collaborates with leaders with competing agendas and priorities across different functional departments to achieve the common goal

Maintains industry knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing related publications; establishing networks.

Education Requirements (R / Required, P / Preferred) :

P) Bachelor’s Degree

Degrees Preferred : Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Logistics Manager Training, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

Specific Training in this field (R / Required, P / Preferred) :

R) ISO 9001

P) Six Sigma and / or Lean

Experience / Knowledge in this field (R / Required, P / Preferred) :

R) 5 Years Logistics in Manufacturing experience, (P) Light Assembly electronics manufacturing experience

R) 2 years Leadership experience, (P) 5 years leadership experience

R) Contract Negotiations with carriers

P) Familiar with general electronics components

P) Domestic Shipping, International Shipping and Customs
