Ede Homes is a property development and investment company which continues to grow in the area and has been trading for over 60 years. We are based in Witney and we operate anywhere within an hour’s drive of Oxford. We generally build a range of properties, from contemporary town centre apartments to luxury and bespoke homes in the surrounding villages. Together with the sales, we also have a large rental portfolio that we part own and manage.

Job description

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to join our finance team.

The role mainly involves:

• Entering rental statements into our systems
• Posting and allocating purchase invoices
• Making purchase ledger, sundry and sub-contractor payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving issues with utilities and other suppliers
• Working with colleagues in both finance and other departments to help with the smooth and effective running of the business

In order to carry out the tasks above you will need to work with our computerised accounting system and online banking as well as the usual office software. We use industry-specific accounting software so full training will be given to you although experience with other accounting systems would be useful. A good knowledge of spreadsheets is desirable too. A good standard of numeracy and literacy is essential so GCSE Maths and English would be ideal.
