Salary Type: Bucks pay

Salary details: Bucks Pay Range 1/2 (£18,329 to £22,766) depending on existing skills and experience.

Contract type: Permanent/Apprenticeship (Flexible work pattern hours will also be considered)

Hours: 37 hours per week/52 weeks per year (with an annual leave entitlement of at least 22 days plus Bank Holidays)

About us

This role will be based, from September 2022, at The Kingsbrook School, our brand new school in Broughton, Aylesbury. There are regular public buses to the school from Aylesbury town centre and railway station.

About the role

Insignis Academy Trust have an opportunity for a new Finance Assistant or Finance Apprentice to join our Centralised Finance Team supporting the four secondary schools within the Trust.

This is a transactional role, and the post-holders main role will be processing orders, invoices and other financial administration. Over time as our Trust grows further this role is likely develop and progression opportunities will arise.

About you

Candidates need to be numerate and able to use spreadsheets and have ideally used financial systems (SAGE is used at Insignis Academy Trust). Training and support in the financial systems can be provided on the job for those without relevant experience.

You don’t need to have worked in a school environment before but a passion for helping improve the education of our 3000+ students through providing high quality finance support is desirable.

Candidates need to be well organized, have good communication skills and have the ability to work well under pressure, using their own initiative and be a good team member. (The Finance team is currently 7 strong).

We do not expect candidates to have any accounting qualification but for those looking for a finance apprenticeship or seeking professional qualifications this is something we can support as well.

There is flexibility regarding the working hours, patterns during the week and weeks in the year for suitable candidate (s). (Working from home is however not normally an option in this team based role)
