Btween Hiring for VP of Production and Sourcing at New York, New York Full Time

Girls apparel company with sportswear, sleepwear, swim and outerwear now seeks entrepreneur with 7+ years of diversified apparel production and sourcing  expertise (Kids is preferable). Responsible for entire driving production process (working closely with design team on development through design hand-off, factory allocation and complete production process)

• Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques. Must have strong product knowledge of fabrics – ie. fabric weight, fabric content, and fabric construction.
• Must have Global factory connections within girls sportswear, swim, sleep and outerwear.
• Must have detailed project management skills including creating product development and production calendar; tracking multiple projects and timelines; organizing project details and schedules; coordinating with internal departments for each category/division within the company.
• Responsible for development timelines; liaison with design, sales and marketing to create go to market calendars that align with business expectations.
• Partner with design throughout design prototype development and approval process.
• Lead the production team in establishing processes by implementing a detailed work in progress calendar reports for all factories. 
• Drive the holistic production process.
• Oversee all communication with factories regarding the daily execution of product from sketches/tech packs to final production.
• Oversee approval process and analyze Factory WIP to ensure on time deliveries.
• Manage and negotiate the delivery dates of development and production samples.
• Maintain and analyze cost and pricing grids for all orders within the company.
• Determine factory allocation based on factory strengths, pricing and general margin requirements.
• Liaise with manufacturers on material management, final production engineering, cost optimization and price negotiation.
• Liaise between design and production factories to ensure brand integrity and quality.
• Constantly evaluate and implement new systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency along the production process.
• Manage, assemble a team and hire a production team consisting of production managers and coordinators and day to day mentoring of team.
• Establish QC specifications per product store guidelines to each factory and ensuring accuracy of all tech packs.
• Anticipate potential problems and risk, generate new ideas and solutions.
• Must have innovative and entrepreneurial big thinker mindset.
• Must have strong organizational, communication and multitasking skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
