Btween Hiring for HEAD MERCHANDISER – Girl Outerwear and Swimwear Division at New York, New York Full Time

Responsibilities

• The Merchandiser will be responsible for the complete management design and production follow through of the girls outerwear and swim division working cross functionally with Sales and Design.  
• Merchandiser will be in charge of the Juicy Couture girls outerwear line in addition to private label and house brands.
• Merchandiser will need to have a keen understanding of both the outerwear and swimwear market.
• Merchandiser will be challenged with helping to assemble two amazing fashion forward high quality lines for both the off price markets and the better Department Store market.
• Establish the product vision and build the global merchandising line plan.
• Lead calendar adherence for deliverables and cross functional critical deadlines.
• Bring customer and market prospective to the design and product development process. Thoroughly understands the brand’s target customer by shopping stores and understanding the market
• Ensure the successful implementation of merchandising strategies by providing direction to design and technical teams.
• Collaborate with and lead design to identify trends, confirm product and assortment details and facilitate product direction and execution.
• Work with sourcing partners to execute product development needs, track samples, review protos and establish / meet pricing targets.
• Manage seasonal projections
• Work closely with the buyers on seasonal strategies and opportunities
• Will manage gross margin, sales and inventory

• Strong product sense with proven experience in driving product assortments and partnering with Design to conceive product concepts that drive business.
• Strong problem solving, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• High level of analytical skills and conceptual creative ability.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Good working relationships with new factory resources is a plus.

Experience: At least 4 years of merchandising experience in outerwear and swimwear

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or equivalent
