Job Title : Accounts Assistant (Billings)

Location: Konwlhill, Milton Keynes (with flex to work from home)

Salary: Up to £24,000 depending on experience

As a result of internal promotion, our Accounts Team is hiring. We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant based at our offices in Milton Keynes. This role sits within EMEA Finance producing all invoices for BSI Assurance UK Ltd and BSI Professional Services Ltd as well as country offices in Continental and Southern Europe.

You will play a pivotal role within the team – the purpose of this role is to produce accurate and timely customer billing, dealing with and reducing invoice queries and credit notes, to ensure that revenue and debtors are accurately recorded.

Other Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Work closely with other areas of the business to ensure that billing requirements are accurately and promptly communicated.
• To log and distribute queries to the correct area of BSI and follow up as necessary to enable a speedy resolution to clients’ queries
• To issue pro rata and the yearly AMF invoices and support the incoming queries
• Dealing with day to day correspondence from clients, ensuring prompt response

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Ideally have worked in a finance team with some Billing experience
• Experience of using Excel and able to make tables and understand them
• Good attention to detail with good numerical skills and an aptitude to understand and assist with accounting entries
• Proven ability to deliver high standards of customer service
• Responds to queries politely and promptly, deals effectively with challenging situations
• Proactive to ensure that billing is accurate, and queries and errors are minimised
