Brownlee Cale is proud to be recruiting for a Pre-Con Manager for the build sector of a large Civil Engineering company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the Pre-Construction team to ensure that the sector offers successful execution of projects on site
• Maintain the highest standards in relation to accuracy, risk assessment and predictability of outcome
• Support in the Mentoring & Staff Development programme for all members of the team. Promote a consistent and quality approach to staff management.
• Resource management and management of key Supply Chain Relationships 
• Active role in key client management, including leading negotiations and developing client specific offerings for long term relationships. 
• Work with Preconstruction Director, Estimating Director, Strategic Projects Director & Technical Director (and teams) to develop bid winning and profit improvement strategies
• Take a lead role in executing the Tender Plan 
• Provide leadership to the Technical team to ensure earthwork, design and MEP solutions are innovative, robust and in line with the opportunity win strategy and offer
• Work with Group Legal and Risk team to ensure contract strategies are incorporated into the Project Execution Plan and Contract Documents

Person Specification:

• Degree in a relevant subject
• Experience working within a similar role for a large contractor 
• Experienced in tenders, negotiations, cost plans and cost advice
