This exciting internship role supports the Accounting Manager, UK & Turkey with different Cash Apps and Global Business Solution processes including support with financial accounting, financial reporting and analytical activities.
What You Can Expect:
Accounting Responsibilities
Assisting with Accounts Payable activities
Process PO and Non-PO invoices through the COUPA system and SAP Systems.
Identify root cause analysis of invoice processing and posting errors and resolve errors in a timely and accurate manner.
Research, analyse, and resolve vendor/customer issues in a timely, accurate and professional manner
Maintain professional and effective communication with internal and external vendors in a timely and persistent manner
Prepare spend analysis and reconciliations
Develop expertise in associated systems and processes including T&E expenses (CONCUR)
Cash & Credit Apps Responsibilities
Liaise and coordinate with management on accounts receivable, cash applications and rebates activities.
Coordinate with the Rebate Manager and Customer Services Manager regarding cash application, related rebate programs (chargebacks & credit memos).
Assists Cash Apps Analyst in Customer Shipment releases & analysis
Prepare receivable analysis and reconciliations
Facilitate with the implementation of appropriate credit policies, processes and limits for every customer and periodic updates working closely with Commercial Finance and other partners
Set up and maintain accounts receivable files and other financial records
Any other ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by the Accounting Manager & Finance Director.
We Are Looking For People Who Have:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or equivalent experience
Experience in an automated ERP system, preferably SAP and invoice processing system COUPA will be an asset
Understanding of accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
High energy level, ability to work independently, and multi-task effectively in a service organisation.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
