As the CEO of ESSA, you’ll have the opportunity to build on our strong foundation and steer the association toward achieving our newly developed 10-year vision and strategy. We’re looking for a leader who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and can deliver results by juggling strategic thinking with effective execution.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead strategies to enhance member engagement, retention, and recruitment.
• Drive industry leadership through collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Advocate for improved access to services and promote the profession.
• Harness technology and innovation for transformative impact.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safeguard professional standards.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve growth and financial success.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven track record of successful executive leadership.
• Experience operating in complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Commitment to ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility.
• Thorough knowledge of corporate governance and board relations.
• Interest in the health and allied health and sporting sector.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
