Brooklands College Hiring for Student Counsellor Job at Weybridge, England Full Time

Brooklands College is seeking to employ a Counsellor for the students

The position requires the counsellor to:

• Provide counselling and support for students experiencing personal and emotional problems.
• Provide face-to-face weekly counselling session/s to students.
• Provide short-term solution focussed early intervention.
• Appropriately assessing support needs, making referrals to specialist support services when required.
• Provide relevant information to students that enables them to be independent and resilient.
• Provide drop in advice and guidance opportunities for students and staff.
• Keep accurate records.
• Carry out ongoing evaluation of the counselling service and act on client feedback.
• Provide data returns to the Lead of Safeguarding.

As a Student Counsellor, you will work within the BACP codes of ethics and Brooklands College Safeguarding protocols

You will need a diploma in counselling, an understanding of issues faced by students and experience of working with young people. Ideally you will have BACP accreditation and have at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
