Job Description
The Senior Analyst, Finance Systems & Efficiencies will ensure data integrity within finance reporting systems, maintain existing reports, build new reports when required and support users by providing specialist knowledge of Finance reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
Building and documenting effective controls over our reporting systems
Cost management via continual improvement in Finance system processes and functionality
Maintain and develop existing TM1 Cubes and TIs for Budgeting, Forecasting and Actual reporting
Build new TM1 Cubes and TIs across various finance and business processes as required
Manage and maintain report register and create reports as required
Manage and maintain hierarchies
Automate reports and maintain existing reports using VBA
Assist in the automation of finance process using excel (VBA), power pivot, power query or utilisation of current finance systems
Identify and assess potential change requests from stakeholders and work with IT to implement to production.
Participate in testing finance systems upgrades, enhancements, and new tools
Participate in post implementation review and take ownership of any actions
Provide training of reporting systems to end users
Maintain high standards of professional communication
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and dedicated to meeting their requirements.
Look for ways to help users increase self-sufficiency
Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel (VBA, PowerPivot, Power Query, Power BI
Sound knowledge of ERP, budgeting, and reporting applications Sound knowledge of Business Intelligence tools
Sound knowledge of finance processes
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to develop solutions to complex problems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
An ability to engage and build relationships at all levels
Experience
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
TM1/IBM planning & analytics (PAfE) – including MDX knowledge
Experience in SQL environment
BI implementation
An Accounting Degree & Professional Accounting Qualification (CPA / CA) is desirable
