This is Maternity cover and a Fixed Term Contract of 12 months, Up to £30,000 pro-rata to 15 hours per week. The Finance Assistant in conjunction with our external accountants provides overall Accounts support for the business and ensures the smooth running of the company finances.
Finance Operations:
· Manage client invoicing for retention and completion fees.
· Ensure the timely follow-up of outstanding invoices and keep the Operations Director up to date on outdated or delayed payments.
· Keeping the financial management reporting up to date.
· Oversee the monthly employee expenses and ensure they are submitted in a timely manner.
· Maintain a strong professional relationship with clients and vendors.
· Manage projects aimed at streamlining accounting processes.
· Reconciliation of invoices/ expenses.
· Manage the relationship with the external accountants, ensuring monthly expenses are accounted for in our Xero system for an accurate payment schedule.
What we are looking for:
· Educated to undergraduate degree level or equivalent.
· Knowledge of MS office and working with Accounting Software (both essential).
· Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to work accurately at pace.
· Good time management skills and able to work to project deadlines.
· Excellent phone manner and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to multitask and prioritise their daily workload.
· Discretion and confidentiality.
