Special Education Coordinator

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develops, implements and monitors BAOP’s procedures and programs consistent and compatible with the NYS administration code for Special Education, School Code and other laws and regulations
• Monitor SESIS
• Coordinate RSA’s
• Coordinates and participates in IEP staffing and annual reviews and facilitates the compilation of documentation for student records.
• Keep active spreadsheet of students
• Keep Documentation Book of all Special Education correspondences
• Coordinates program as needed.
• Manage relationship with CSE­­­­­­
• Interprets and disseminates information regarding state/federal rules and regulations.
• Attends BOT meetings and presents information when requested by the Principal or the BOT
• Supervise and maintain Child Study Team meetings and all required documentation
• Provide support and resources for all classroom teachers in regard to Special Education students and those students who are struggling in the classroom.

Requirements and Experience:

• Masters Degree in special education
• At least three years of teaching experience
• NY State certification in special education or its equivalent a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
