About the Position: Position will start at the beginning of the 2022/23 school year. Bromley East Charter school is seeking a kindergarten teacher that will serve as a collaborative team member who inspires students and prepares high-quality, engaging instruction on a daily basis.

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience and education

$36,500 (entry level)-$61,275.82 (Master’s Degree with 11 years of experience)

A qualified candidate is someone who:

• Holds a bachelor’s degree and current Colorado K – 3 or K – 6 teaching license.
• Has strong skills in Understanding By Design to aid in course development.
• Builds a positive classroom community and culture containing structures to support student-centered collaborative learning, high expectations, and accountability.
• Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicates those objectives to students.
• Monitors student progress toward academic and social growth objectives. Provides support to move students toward or beyond objectives.
• Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
• Communicates in a proactive and positive manner with all stakeholders.
• Has strong skills with technology including Google apps/platform and online learning
• Has familiarity with iPads and ability to manage student use with a 1:1 technology program.
• Plans and supervises class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guides students in learning from those activities.
• Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
• Confers with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students’ behavioral and academic needs.
• Fully participates in building directed planning, professional learning, committees, and staff meetings, collaborates with colleagues and seeks continuous improvement.
• Will be fully committed to the implementation of the Leader In Me Program and 7 Habits.
• Enforces all administration policies and rules governing students.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid Colorado teaching license issued by the Colorado Department of Education
• Meets the READ Act training requirements set by the State Board of Education
• Student teaching at the elementary level for at least one semester
• Classroom experience preferred

COVID-19 Considerations/Precautions:

Follows the health guidance of State and Local entities (CDPHE, CDE, & Tri-County Health) to determine site specific protocols which could include:

• Masking (currently optional)
• Sanitizing, disinfecting, and other cleaning procedures in place
