We’re looking for a finance business analyst to report into the finance business partner. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working within the housing sector, specifically business process management, budgeting and forecasting, finance operations reporting procedures and best practice internal control processes. You’ll be educated to degree level, or have a minimum of three years accountancy experience, and be qualified or at an advanced level of progress in studying towards a professional qualification in finance (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent/ QBE.

Your role will involve developing and supporting the finance business partner service to key business stakeholders. You’ll provide analysis and insight to the business that drives opportunities, manages risk and supports the delivery of Bromford’s strategic plan. You’ll support future business performance, acting as a trusted, visible and accessible point of contact to business leaders; providing analysis of financial results and making the link to commercial and operating information to provide insight that will drive our financial and operational decisions. You’ll help with the preparation of robust budgets, support the delivery of timely, accurate financial accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, including month-end and year-end reports, and working collaboratively with the accounting teams.

This role can be based from our Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury or Chipping Sodbury offices, WV10, GL20 & BS37 postcodes.

What do you need?

• A strong knowledge and practice of business process management, budgeting and forecasting, finance operations reporting procedures and best practice internal control processes
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience in project accounting would be beneficial
• Confidence in communicating to leaders across both finance and non-financial stakeholder groups
• Good accounting systems experience, with knowledge of D365 advantageous
• Understanding of appropriate legislation, taxation, risk, financial reporting standards and best practice
• Practical experience of management accounting and business planning.

Consideration to be given to anyone with experience working in roles such as finance analyst, finance business analyst, finance business partner, financial reporting analyst and/or finance data analyst.
