This is an exciting time to join the British Heart Foundation as a Team Recruitment Volunteer. Your role will be to assist the Store Manager to welcome volunteers into our organisation by providing a quality recruitment and induction support service for our volunteers. You’ll acquire hands-on experience of various volunteer roles in our furniture store, be shown how to settle in new volunteers and learn how to recruit new volunteers.
Typical tasks include:
- Advertising & updating volunteering adverts on external websites
- Phoning and emailing potential volunteers to book them in for an interview
- Attending promotional events such as recruitment fairs, university volunteering fairs etc. to talk to potential volunteers about volunteering
- Supporting potential volunteers through the recruitment process and initial training
- Conducting volunteer recruitment on the shop sales floor
- Assisting the Store Manager with volunteer administration
