Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role will appeal to individuals who enjoy working in a high volume team environment. You will be providing integrated front line services to a wide variety of clients including current and prospective BCIT students by identifying their needs and taking the appropriate action to respond. Services include creating student accounts, registration processes, receiving payments, providing information on admissions processes; document requests, general institute information and referrals to the appropriate BCIT department for additional support.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Grade 12, plus 6 months post secondary education in Business, Customer Service or Computer Applications including training courses in Bookkeeping and/or Accounting and Excel.
Two years general office experience in a financial environment (eg. Accounts Receivable or banking and cash handling) plus up to one year’s current experience in a similar position (in a high volume educational or customer service environment).
Direct cashiering experience in a computerized environment preferred.
Must have formal training and experience using Microsoft Office software and be comfortable with computer technology.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to work under pressure, with a high level of accuracy and initiative.
Strong multi-tasking, planning, organizational, attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Must be adaptable to rapid changes in technology related to the Registrar’s Office.
Accurate keyboarding skills of 50 wpm.
Must be customer-service oriented with an emphasis on excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to work flexible shifts.
Please note: These are the minimum required qualifications. Varying shift schedules will apply. Candidates must be available for shifts on Monday to Friday, from 7:55 am to 5:15 pm; supervisor to determine as needed. Occasional work on evenings and weekends may be required.

Salary Range Pay Grade 5; $46,799 to $50,478 per annum
Additional Salary Information
External hires are initially placed at the minimum of the salary range with progression to the maximum. Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment.
