Salary: Up to £32,500 per annum max depending on experience

THE ROLE
The Guarantee & Wholesale Solutions team, part of British Business Bank, originates, structures and manages transactions with SME lenders such as banks and non-bank financial institutions, which seek to address funding, security and capital constraints these entities may face that prevent them from increasing their credit activity in the small business sector. This position is available due to the continued expansion of the Guarantee & Wholesale Solutions team.
In this position, you will support the execution of the Guarantee & Wholesale suite of products. This will include getting exposure to all facets of a transaction as well as the opportunity to take on substantial responsibility which will include structuring the deal, financial modelling and market and regulatory research. You will closely collaborate with SME lender counterparties, legal and accounting advisors, internal risk and state aid functions, and develop strong working relationships with colleagues across the British Business Bank.
As a recent university graduate, holding a degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Physics or Engineering, you will also be able to demonstrate the following:
You will ideally have knowledge of VBA and MS Access alongside a genuine passion and interest in the SME finance marketplace.
