Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation Hiring for Forensic Services Department Manager Full Time

We are a tribal, coastal, Alaskan Health System looking for a Forensic Services Department Manager to coordinate and provide services to families and victims of extreme physical abuse, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

We are offering up to $112-160K a year with no employee contribution to medical/vision/dental premiums with Bluecross, no state income taxes, temporary housing up to 3 months, relocation assistance, and an excellent 401K plan (as well as 32+ days off a year which includes combined holidays and PTO).

Our community is a salmon fishing town and we service our village as well as 27 tribal villages in SW Alaska.

Responsible for the coordination of emergency and follow-up response to s of extreme physical abuse, child sexual abuse, exposure to domestic violence, and s of sexual assault requiring forensic medical intervention and/ or investigation in Bristol Bay through the management of the Forensic Services Department which includes the “Nitaput” Child Advocacy Center and the adult SANE/SART Program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, human services, psychology or related field required; Master’s degree in similar field preferred.
• Knowledge of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault required. A minimum of one­ year experience providing direct services to children and families required.
• Trained or willing to be trained in children’s forensic interviewing technique within six months of hire.
• Must hold or obtain valid Alaska driver’s license.
• Able to prepare and monitor program budgets.
• Experience in program management including staff supervision

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Coordinate and provide services to families and victims of extreme physical abuse, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault through collaboration with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner’s, pediatricians, case manager, mental health clinicians, child advocates, SART advocates, State of Alaska Office of Children’s Services social workers, law enforcement, Indian Child Welfare Act Tribal Children’s Workers, and other agencies.
• Direct the program for the “Nitaput” Child Advocacy Center to ensure that the National Children’s Alliance standards are established and maintained.
• Creation and adherence to State of Alaska SART policies and procedures including monitoring and credentialing of SANE/SART medical examiners.
• Prepare grant applications, monitor expenditure of grant funds and program budgets.
• Provide documentation of cases to meet standards of program, grant and accrediting agency. Submit statistical data and quaiterly s to the state and other funding sources according to grant and HIPAA compliance regulations.
• Work closely with FASIFASD team to establish effective referral process.
• Schedule and monitor use of the exam rooms and meeting spaces utilized by the Forensic Services Department. To include the SART Exam room in the ER, and the Child Advocacy Center. Help arrange transportation to, from, and within Dillingham for victims and families. Provide referrals to mental health and other agencies for follow up services.
• Plan and assist with local trainings on extreme physical abuse, child sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, identify/attend regional, statewide or national training for Forensic Services staff and other collaborating agency personnel.

Pay: $112,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
