St. Columba’s Primary School is located in the inner northern Brisbane suburb of Wilston with an approximate enrolment of 605 students. We are seeking a Tuckshop Convenor to manage the efficient and effective day to day operation of the school Tuckshop.
In addition to successfully co-ordinating the running of the Tuckshop, you will manage ordering of stock, organisation of volunteers and maintain a clean, hygienic workspace.
The Tuckshop operates with Tuesday for preparation, then Wednesday to Friday serving food to our school community.
The successful applicant will display positive leadership with Tuckshop volunteers and show initiative in ensuring the successful operation and profitability of the Tuckshop.
It is important that the successful applicant be able to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, maintaining confidentiality when required.
Skills and Experience
- An ability to lead, plan organise and control day-to-day operations of the Tuckshop including finance, and management of the online ordering system
- Experience in food service and knowledge of the nutritional requirements of school-aged children
- An ability to follow Workplace Health and Safety guidelines for food preparation, and display a high level of personal hygiene standards
- Organisational skills, initiative and enthusiasm
