Our Lady of the Rosary (OLR) offers students a sound academic education in a Catholic environment. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Support Teacher: Inclusive Education (ST:IE).

This role supports the School and Teachers to meet the specific learning needs of students from Prep to Year 6 across the full range of abilities and needs, and involves the management of Support Aides who provide classroom assistance.

You will need to implement inclusive and effective teaching and learning strategies to engage and improve education outcomes of supported students.

You will be required to:

• share skills and knowledge through collaborative practice, professional learning, consultancy coaching, co-planning, co-teaching, co-debriefing, and co-reflecting;
• facilitate meaningful outcomes for students, parents and teachers through collaborative processes; and
• share skills and knowledge through professional development, consultation and advice.

You should have the ability to produce and maintain timetables, experience in developing and implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs), and a proven capacity to work as part of a team.

To be successful in this role you will:

Estimated Start Date: Commencing January 2022

Employment Tenure: Part Time + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if “Fixed Term”): 2022 – Terms 1, 2 and 3 with a possibility of Term 4

If Part Time, hours and/or days required: 18 hours per week – required to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
