How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:

Position accountable for activities in support of coordination of the financial close at the enterprise level. Responsible for the company’s Chart of Values (COV) process, consolidation reviews, and related activities. This position works with other corporate departments and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

• COV process activities include but are not limited to the following:

o Develop and maintain COV request forms and documentation
o Provide guidance to all users and act as a liaison between customers and IT
o Collate, review, and submit all COV requests including collecting proper documentation, approvals, and performing due diligence research for all request

• Daily control and accuracy reviews to ensure deadlines and thresholds are met, including issue resolution and communications with internal partners when needed, for consolidations, eliminations, ledger inaccuracies, suspense reconciliation, and pending parked docs
• Support internal and external audits as required. Maintain process documentation
• Participate in special projects as required

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

• B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance
• Completion of/or progress towards CPA, MBA, or CMA a plus
• Knowledge of US GAAP, insurance accounting, and US STAT a plus
• Strong project, program, and change management skills
• Experience in coordination of financial close activities in a corporate environment
• Microsoft applications knowledge – Excel (intermediate to advanced) and Access
• SAP and BPC systems knowledge a plus
• Demonstrated analytical skills
• Ability to work with associates at all levels, including senior management
• Ability to produce results and carry out initiatives independently
• Ability to work within tight time constraints and multiple priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills

Compensation and Benefits:

• Compensation: Base salary ranging from $57,000 to $70,000.00 plus competitive performance-based incentives determined by company and individual results
• Time Off: Minimum of 20 days of paid time off and 13 paid company holidays per full calendar year, plus paid volunteer time
