Finance Assistant (US Operations)

Salary: £30,000

Hours: 37.5 per week/Monday to Friday

Job Type: Fulltime, Permanent

Location: Remote (occasional travel to BH offices as required)

Purpose of Role:

The main responsibility of our Finance Assistant is to support the transactions and processes of the US Emerging Operations finance team, which includes our US Backup Care, EdAssist, College Coach, and CNS Divisions. Our team works in weekly, monthly and quarterly cycles supporting over 1,000 customers, and the Finance Assistant will be a critical part of the team to help keep daily transactions and processes organised and outstanding items prioritised.

What you’ll be doing;

Perform the following weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks;

• Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions

• Prepare balance sheets, identify anomalies or inaccuracies, and analyse fluctuations

• Track and reconcile bank statements

• Prepare and send client invoices

• Record and follow up on outstanding customer accounts receivables as a support to our Credit Analyst

• Communicate regularly via phone, e-mail and in person with the wider business to provide support from queries generated from financial reports

• Run and analyse reports from the EdAssist and Backup Care Systems

• Participate in the month end accounting as needed

What we need from you;

• Accounting or Finance Degree with one (1) year or relevant accounting experience

• Proficient in Excel with desire to learn more

• Delivery of high-quality customer service to internal colleagues and external customers

• Accounting or Finance Degree with one (1) year or relevant accounting experience
