Bright Beginnings Children’s Center Hiring for Preschool Teacher Full Time

MSDE Accredited center is looking for a qualified Preschool Teacher to prepare children for kindergarten. Ideal candidate must be OCC qualified and have at least one year experience with the 4/5 age group. Candidate must be able to work full-time.

The Lead Preschool Teacher is directly responsible for all the children in the assigned room.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing a program that complies with the center’s philosophy, and meets the needs of the children.
• Implementing curriculum that the center provides for children.
• Responsible for creating a weekly lesson plan that is aligned with the standards and domains of the curriculum.
• Responsible for creating and posting a monthly newsletter for the classroom.
• Provide a safe, clean, and appealing environment.
• Supervising children on the playground, in the classroom, and on field trips.
• Maintain good communication with parents and assistant teachers.
• Responsible for maintaining a portfolio on each child in your assigned class.
• Responsible for protecting confidentiality of all information on any child, parent, or staff member.
• Responsible for the condition of the equipment in the assigned room.
• Direct and supervise the assistant teacher for implementing activities.
• General cleaning or other duties assigned by Director.
• Responsible for completing continued training hours each year.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 – $16.00 per hour

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
• 90 hour Preschool Certification (Preferred)
