Salary: $85,000-$110,000/Year

Briebug is seeking a Controller with proven industry experience as an accounting leader, preferably in a mid – to senior role. Strong communicator, attention to detail and will make it their mission to streamline our bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting reporting processes. Should possess knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and how to apply it.

The awesome things you would do:

• Will assist with the development of internal control policies, procedures and financial planning as needed.
• Manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting: billing, financial statements, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, assist with budgeting when needed.
• Ensure tax compliance with required filings and reports when working with our partners.
• GAAP cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses to remain compliant.
• Maintain a documented history of accounting policies and finance operations.
• Oversee payments of all accounts; ensuring all accounts are paid on time, and ensure that accounts receivable run smoothly.
• Manage outsourced accounting for payroll and finance functions.
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed timely.
• Direct the company’s accounting chart of accounts.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Implement a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Issue timely and complete financial accounting statements.
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management when needed.

Must haves:

• Tech-savvy with a high proficiency for accounting, efficient tax management, and experience with software system implementation and migration
• Bachelors in Accounting
• 7-10 years of hands on accounting experience solving problems proactively as they arise
