Breakthrough Public Schools Hiring for Manager, Talent Acquisition at Cleveland, OH Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager of Talent Acquisition is responsible for sourcing, attractive, interviewing, and hiring and onboarding employees, all while factoring in the long term goals of Breakthrough Schools. This position will partner with the Managing Director of Talent Acquisition to develop and implement systems that supports Breakthrough Public Schools (BPS), efforts to attract, select and hire quality, committed and diverse team members. The Manager will focus on school based recruiting, orientation and early talent pipelines. This position will to the Managing Director, Talent Acquisition.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage the full cycle process of recruiting.
• Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear expectations for candidates and interviewers
• Ensure that staffing needs are being met with a long-term strategy in mind
• Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
• Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
• Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders
• Support the Managing Director with the creation, Implementation of an innovative sourcing and recruiting strategy to attract and engage top teacher talent and school leaders.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with college and university partners, professional networks, and organizations with the goal of cultivating and building diverse talent pipelines.
• Demonstrate and articulate a thorough understanding of Breakthrough Public Schools and communicate enthusiastically to candidates the benefits and merits of working at Breakthrough Public Schools and its member schools.
• Represent Breakthrough Public Schools at networking events, conferences, career fairs, meetings, community outreach events articulating and fostering awareness of Breakthrough’s mission.
• Manage applicant and selection databases, such as ATS system, Linkedin, Indeed etc..
• Provides support, training and education to internal stakeholders on the recruiting process, interviewing techniques and effective networking strategies
• Research and ensure compliance with State, Charter, and local teacher credentialing requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years’ progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, experience in education environment preferred.
• Experience with applicant tracking, recruiting, and/or onboarding software required.
• Full-cycle recruitment experience a must.
• Experience managing diversity and early talent recruitment programs highly desired.
• Experience recruiting in an education environment strongly preferred.

Licensure and Certification(s):

• Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record in accordance with the BPS’s acceptable guidelines.
• SHRM – CP, PHR, SPHR, IHRIM, Certified Internet Recruiter or Certified Diversity Recruiter Certifications are preferred. Talent acquisition, recruitment, and/or Human Resources certification a plus

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of talent acquisition with ability to apply diversity, equity and inclusion principles to talent acquisition.

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to take initiative, receive/provide feedback, and seek out creative ideas

• Strong organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively multi-task and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Performs work in an office setting with moderate levels of noise, sitting for long periods of time, repetitive motion using computers and phones, with exposure to fluorescent lighting
• Ability to occasionally travel to school and other locations. Must possess a valid driver’s license, be able to drive, and have access to a vehicle.
