As an Accounts Payable Specialist with Bray and Scarff, you will deliver a premier customer service experience by utilizing a people-first attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. You will support our accounting department, with accuracy and efficiency, while maintaining the relationships between departments and servicing customer needs. You are a detail-oriented individual who is able to carry out a high degree of accuracy in every task assigned and completed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative and clerical tasks including, but not limited to, data entry and filing paperwork
• Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Verify and reconcile processed entries by comparing system reports to balances
• Remit payment to vendors correctly and in a timely manner to maximize discount opportunities
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
• Maintain vendor accounts; reconcile monthly statements and related transactions
• Disburse petty cash by recording entries with verified and approved documentation
• Manage high-volume invoice and purchase order entry
• Meet strict project and/or task deadlines set by Supervisors
• Protect company assets by maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
• Issue 1099-Misc to appropriate vendors
• Maintain daily cash/bank reports
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals
• Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to grow job knowledge
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Skills/Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principals
• Data entry skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good analytical skills
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in excel
• High degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
