Description & Requirements:
We are looking for a confident and experienced Revenue Accountant to join our team in the Sydney office, on a 15 month fixed term contract on a full-time basis. You will report to and work closely with Bravura’s Global Revenue Manager in a varied role with lots of opportunity to take on responsibility. You will thrive in a collaborative team environment and possess the ability to pick things up quickly.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Processing customer invoices, credit notes and receipts, revenue deferral, accrual journals and revenue variance analysis
- Assisting with the month/year end closure procedures; posting journals, general ledger, bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing cost of sales including contracts and 3rd party costs, royalties and on-charging travel expenses
- Monitoring overdue debts and collection
- High level debt reporting for monthly Board pack
- Assisting with half-year and year-end reporting and auditing
Skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree qualification is essential
- Part/full qualified CPA/CA
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role
- Revenue recognition experience
- Knowledge of IFRS 15 is desirable
- Understanding of complex customer agreements and implementation of contractual terms
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software Sun System
- Experience in ERP system ‘Workday’ will be preferred
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- An exceptional eye for detail and high level of accuracy whilst working within strict timelines
