Brannon Steel Hiring for Plate Roll Machine Operator at Brampton, ON Full Time

Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced Plate Roll Operator to join the team at its Brampton manufacturing location. Starting at up to $36.33 per hour PLUS up to $4 per hour in shift premiums, you’ll use 4-roll hydraulic machines to bend and shape large steel parts to meet exacting customer standards.
Duties:

• Setup, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic plate rolling machines safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic machine maintenance such as checking fluid levels.
• Move large steel parts and plate using overhead crane.
• Read part drawings and production documents.
• Use measuring instruments and gauges to check finished parts against specifications.
• Perform and document quality inspections.
• Document work completed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of plate rolling experience.
• 2+ years of overhead crane operation experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a drive to achieve perfection.
• The patience to repeat tasks until the job’s done right.
• Able to perform intermediate math.
• Able to perform manual material handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Able to read part drawings and production documents.
• Able to use basic and precision measuring tools.
• Able to use hand and power tools.
• Speak, read, and write English at a conversational level.
