26 Week Contract

Warren, MI – hybrid (2 days in office, rest WFH)

Top Qualifications:

1 Java Experience (5 years)

2 Docker (2 year)

3 Kafka or similar (2 years)

• High volume data streaming
• Kubernetes, Docker, Java/Spring/Akka, Pulsar/Kafka
• Bachelors in Computer Science or similar fields required
• 5-8 years’ experience

Overview:

This position will be focused on building high volume data streaming platform to connect legacy vehicle platforms to next generation vehicle platform. We are looking for experienced Java developers that understand multiple frameworks well and can design and build low level designs self-directed. Candidates can take a concept from start to finish with little direction. Experience with Kafka, Pulsar, Kubernetes, Azure, Docker and Java Akka experience is a huge plus.

• Work to modernize and expand cloud data streaming services
• Server (backend) based and cloud based
• IOT like architectures
• Working with vehicle sensor readings and state telemetry to support future digital products
• Work in agile scrum environment
• Implement stories from start to finish
• Collaborate on architecture and process
• 70% independent work, 30% collaboration
• Work with the latest reactive streaming frameworks like Akka
• Do this at huge volumes with billions of messages daily
• Work across legacy systems and Azure cloud based platforms
• Work with cutting edge CI/CD automation

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $68.00 – $72.00 per hour
