About the Brand Team

The Brand Team connects our clients to their customer, ultimately ensuring their brand experience is relevant, sustainable and differentiated.

They find the market, audience and industry insights required to develop brand strategies and positioning that matter to people. Then, they manage the brands through customer experience mapping, creative, marketing and product innovation in coordination with all other agency team members.

About The Role

Our Brand Strategists champion brand strategy consulting, brand positioning, brand management and creative or product innovation. They work closely with the Director, Brand and our Creative team to build strong brand strategies. Then, they independently lead insight gathering, brief development and team sessions to fulfill those strategies.

Ultimately, you own the brand experience for each brand assigned to you – you must strategize ways to represent the brand experience across all touchpoints of the customer journey. It’s critical that you have a strong interest and aptitude in conducting consumer research, and that you’re always working to elaborate on the “why” behind each brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Find customer insights and action them through positioning, storytelling or marketing programs
• Identify KPIs of a strong Brand Strategy
• Confidence making all day-to-day brand decisions within assigned portfolio
• Identify, advocate for and manage marketing and communications initiatives that will elevate and reinforce our client brand strategies in-market
• Co-lead creative strategy alongside Creative team, to support brand and strategy articulation
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to understand trends and opportunities for further brand exploration / evolution.
• Align brand strategy with overall client objectives, including lead generation, increased website traffic and brand awareness
• Work alongside copywriters to develop and manage brand messaging guidelines for all production teams, ensuring consistency in-market across all touchpoints.
• Elevate brand products and content efforts to better align with both the customer journey and industry trends
• Manage and test ongoing brand sentiment, awareness or ENPS scores for each client.

Skills and Abilities

• Experience building and presenting brand and/or marketing strategies for budget approval or executive buy-in.
• Experience using market research tools like Survey Monkey, Google Surveys, and/or hosting and facilitating focus groups or ethnographic reports.
• Working knowledge of digital, social and CRM platforms like HubSpot, Pardot and Google Analytics.
• Experience driving lead or performance growth through various marketing channels.

• Extremely motivated self-starter who enjoys self-management.
• Highly creative thinker who is interested in pushing boundaries and trying new things.
• Strong oral communicator, enjoying workshopping ideas and presenting them to team members for feedback.
• Confident and able to facilitate large meetings with specific strategic or creative objectives.
• Highly organized worker, able to both self-manage and use existing project management processes to keep all team members “in the know” on you work’s progress.
• Culturally in-tune and aware of industry and consumer trends.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years in a professional brand marketing, advertising or creative communications setting. Experience in an agency environment is considered an asset.
