BRANDFX, LLC Hiring for Mechanical Engineer at Swea City, IA Full Time

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

• Create drawings and models in CAD systems
• Design components and systems to meet requirements
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work
• Develop/modify 3D models using Solidworks for Component, Weldment and Assembly drawings
• Support a variety of development activities & may be assigned to a variety of engineering tasks
• Be involved with many aspects of mechanical design & analysis tasks working in a cross-functional team.
• Optimize systems to reduce time and cost
• Provide feedback on specifications & designs
• Exposure to manufacturing operations that include laser cutting of sheet and plate, plate parts, welding, machining, and painting
• Review drawings to insure manufacturability and functionality
• Verify and conclusions in written, organized manor
• Assist production with standard product engineering related concerns

Skills and Proficiency

• Proficiency in 3D modeling (Solidworks preferred)

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes and fabrication methods

• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Problem solving ability
• Experience in dynamics, mechanics, and heat transfer
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming
• Understanding of material mechanical properties
• Desire to contribute and improve design of new and current products.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Experience in Computer Aided engineering (FEA preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred
• Experience in various coding languages
• Must be organized, efficient and able to multitask
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
• Organization and time management skill

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Engineering degree (BSME preferred)

· Students currently enrolled in classes pursuing Mechanical Engineering degree will be considered.

· Completed Coursework in design

· 0-2 years of mechanical engineering work experience

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
