A vacancy has arisen in the finance team for an ambitious European Financial Controller who wants to join a progressive & ambitious business.

Requirements

• Manage, develop and grow a dynamic, fast paced team including financial reporting, financial accounts & transactional, in line with the growth and development of the business.
• Responsibility of group board reporting for European entities incorporating financial KPIs, balance sheet, cashflow & working capital. Moving forward this role would look to expand to cover a wider remit of board reporting and board level exposure.
• Ownership & regular review of European balance sheets ensuring financial compliance & controls are met, ageing issues are dealt with, including processes improved to move the department forward.
• Full responsibility for the intercompany processes managed by the financial accounts team. Ensuring transfer pricing needs are understood and adhered to, whilst consider the operational & trading needs of the business.
• Regularly review judgemental/ complex balance sheet areas, ensuring procedures and approaches are aligned across the Division, and that risks are monitored, reviewed & communicated. Recommend changes within the wider business to ensure we are always moving forward and mitigating any risks
• Driving the finance departments’ own internal KPIs to meet the needs of the business & the team
• Cashflow and working capital management and forecasting for all European entities. To understand the business needs for cashflow, where we are headed, & how we can continue to run an efficient model.
• Adhoc support to the Group Tax Manager, providing another point of contact to the business, and ensuring financial compliance within our reports
• Ownership of relationship with local auditors
• Ultimate responsibility for the European payrolls.
• Senior point of liaison & lead for external & Internal audit.
• Collation of annual working capital Budgets and interim reforecasts, coordinating with other finance team members to achieve a consolidated Budget position; to include management of this process ensuring required timescales and deadlines are communicated internally and adhered to.
• Responsibility for divisional compliance with accounting standards and implementation of Group accounting policies across European subsidiaries.
• Ownership of Statutory Packs for European entities, and associated liaison with auditors.
• Owner of the Financial Reporting software system from a Finance perspective, ensuring the needs of the business are addressed and future proofed.
• Use skills, knowledge and experience to add value within the Finance department and across the business, by suggesting improvements to processes and procedures, and where appropriate implementing those suggestions.
• Perform the role with a customer-focused outlook, always aware of who our internal customers are and striving to provide the best possible service to them.

• Ideal candidates will be ACA qualified, potentially looking for their first move out of practice. Candidates will be confident, assertive, and proactive, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with people at all levels. You will be determined to go the extra mile to achieve results.
• Staff management experience is essential, with effective management skills and the desire to manage a team, championing the culture of progression within Brand Addition.
• Teamwork is essential in this role, as you need to ensure colleagues across a number of sites hit required deadlines, therefore you must be team orientated and able to maintain positive and supportive relationships with your colleagues at all times.
• Previous experience in a fast moving finance environment is essential.
• The position requires someone who is highly computer literate, with excellent Excel skills.
• Effective organizational ability and time management skills are crucial, and you must be able to work to tight deadlines.
