Brampton Manufacturing Company Hiring for Band Saw Operator at Mississauga, ON Full Time

We are currently looking for a Morning shift (6am-3:30pm) band Saw Operator who is responsible for selecting various types of metal (steel, aluminum, brass) as per cut-list and accurately cut material to lengths provided. Crane, Forklift license and blue print reading skills are an asset. Job requirements

Responsibilities:

• Accurate measurement of raw steel
• Operate an overhead crane
• Read blueprints/drawings to confirm cutting requirements
• Operate manual/programmable saw machine
• Coordinate between departments to insure accurate delivery of steel
• Keep a well organized work area
• Check steel stock and request reordering when low

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in operating a saw machine (manual/programmable) is an asset
• Familiarity with plant tools and equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Accurately read tape measure and use of a caliper is critical
• Valid crane operators certificate an asset
